Trade-fair structure reflects the technological trends
The electronica structure is continuously matched to current demands. Whether it is integration, networking, or systems: the world’s leading electronics fair reflects the important application topics in a uniquely complete way.
With the sectors Automotive Innovation, Embedded Systems, and the World of MEMS, electronica 2002 presents the electronics markets of the future and underlines its role as the world\\'s key trade fair for this industry
Number one communications platform
The electronica Arena and electronica Forum will again provide information and communications platforms for exhibitors and the specialist public, with panels of experts discussing the hot topics, and other special events. Besides the familiar arenas in the Embedded Systems hall and the electronica arena with its ZVEI podium, two new communications platforms have been set up: the World of MEMS and the Automotive Innovation user forum. Top-level representatives of the international electronics industry will discuss the topic \\\"Semiconductor Industry: who are the future creators of demand?\\\" in the traditional electronica forum on the first day of the fair.
User forum \\\"automotive electronics\\\"
Electronics is the innovator in the automotive industry: more convenience, more safety, more reliability – they could have never been implemented without electronics and mechatronics. Experts reckon that 90% of all future innovations will be in electrical and electronic systems. The proportion of added value in a vehicle is expected to rise from currently 17% to over 30% by the year 2005. A special focus area is being set up for this field, where exhibitors can present their vehicle-specific products and solutions in an attractive setting.
